This Saturday, May 31 Peter Duncan will conduct an informal practice
session and race clinic for Albacore sailors at West River SC. This
will be run in conjunction with the West River SC open house event.
All guests are welcome, no fee. Just show up and sail.
Expect to be on the water at 10 AM- will complete by 3 PM. Bring
your own lunch.
Will sail as close to docks as wind allows. Will have short course
racing- each race 10-15 minutes long. Some boats will be picking up
crew from the visitors on the dock, others will bring crew. Plan to
start running races at about 10 AM...lots of starts (3 min sequence)
and mark roundings. Will run this in a "clinic" format, where Peter
will offer some coaching and commentary between races as boats sail
past RC. May try for video too if conditions are good. Expect to
get in 10-15 short races if the wind is on. Will hold debrief at
lunch break and at end of day.
