Over the weekend, the International Albacore Association voted to
approve sending the proposed International Albacore Class rules to
each national association for ratification. A copy of the proposed
international rules is available for viewing and comment at: http://albacore.org/rules/review
Please read the FAQ for an explanation of why these rules were
developed and the introduction how to read and use them.
It is expected that there will be discussion and likely votes to
ratify these rules at upcoming national meetings. Voting members
should be informed about the rules and prepared to raise questions or
voice opinions at association meetings. Those not able to attend
national meetings (typically held concurrent at the national
championship regatta- Aug. 28-29, 2010 in USA and Sept. 17-19, 2010 in
Canada... date TBD in UK) may contact national officers to determine
rules for comment and proxy votes.
