This Weekend (Labor Day, September 3-4-5 )
This is the big home regatta of the summer. On Friday is the cruise
race from Annapolis back to Galesville. Boats are towed from WRSC to
Annapolis and then sail back to WRSC. On Saturday and Sunday there is
racing in the cove (or inner course depending on wind conditions). We
should get all 4 fleet boats in the racing, and at this point all four
are available. The race committee also needs some help. If you want
to race one of the fleet boats, please contact Peter Duncan. If you
can help on Race Committee (simple jobs... raising flags, writing down
scores, being on a patrol boat....) contact Jude Brown (heyjfb at earthlink.net
). There is a "Commodore's Reception" on Friday before the evening
cook out. So there is something for everyone...summer is starting to
wind down, so make the most of this weekend and get out to WRSC!
So who is in... 4 fleet boats begging for sailors in the racing next
weekend!
In the future
Sailing will continue in September with some weekend racing and day
sailing. We will put the fleet boats away in early October and have
the end of season fleet party probably on Saturday, October 16... so
pencil that date on your calendar.
