[Express27] Express 27 Nationals measurement reminder

I hope everyone is looking forward to a great nationals event this year.
I'd like to remind everyone that there is no "clothing allowance" for crew
weight calculations this year-we will simply weigh everyone on the digital
class scale and add up the total.  Weighing in prior to the event is
recommended, but not mandatory.  However, if not pre-weighed, the top 5
teams and any teams that are "conspicuously overweight" are subject to being
weighed at the end of the event and disqualification if found to be
overweight.

 

Also, we will be checking boats for proper lifeline tension (5" deflection
maximum) and minimum equipment (operable motor & fuel, anchor, etc).  Please
double-check these items before coming to the event.  Several people have
asked about using spectra for lifelines, and unfortunately it is currently
against the class rules.  We can discuss this at the fleet meeting.  If you
are forced to use spectra as an emergency repair, please be sure to keep it
extra tight to allow for stretch/creep.
