Announcing the 2008 Sperry Top-Sider
Seattle NOOD Regatta
You and Your Fleet Are Invited to Attend an Informational Meeting on
January 15, 2008.
Sailing World,
owner and organizer of the Sperry Top-Sider National Offshore One Design (NOOD)
Regattas, is adding Seattle
to its 2008 schedule. This will be co-hosted by Seattle Yacht Club and
Corinthian Yacht Club and is set to take place off of Shilshole May 16-18, with
registration scheduled for Thursday, May 15.
Currently we are planning to have two keelboat circles with 3 days of
racing and one centerboard circle with 2 days of racing. A minimum of 10 boats
will be required for a centerboard class and a minimum of 6 boats will be
required for a keelboat class.
Steve Travis, Corinthian Yacht Club chair and Bobbi
Campbell , Seattle Yacht Club chair along with Fleet Captains Lorenzo
Migliorini, CYC and Roger Pawley ,
SYC, would like to invite the fleets to come to an informal meeting on
Tuesday, January 15th at Corinthian Yacht Club, 7PM at Shilshole. George
Brengle, Sailing World’s
Director of Marketing and Executive Director of the NOOD Regattas will be on
hand to introduce the NOODs and answer any questions you may have. Please come
and bring your fleet to hear more details about this event. The Bar will be
open.
