<br></div><div>The motivation for this event, other than fun, is to bring D24's six short course fleets together for the first time. Hopefully this will get more people to sail at weekend events. RYC has Laser racing every Sunday over the winter, so Short Course is also a good way for sailors to test the waters there for the first time. 2014 Laser Midwinters West will be at RYC March 28-30 so these Sundays are a path for people to build up to their first big Laser event. Short Course Champs is cheap, $15, and RYC has a club dinner afterwards which we can use for apres-sail. Let me know if I can do anything to help get your fleet members to this event.</div>
