ExpressHeads --
Don't forget to get out there for the Sailstice, which is serving as our
prenationals this year. Things are a bit confusing with this regatta so
bear with me and read carefully. Our fleet is actually sailing in two
different regattas one run by YRA (Saturday) and one run by TISC (Sunday),
with two distinct SIs, which are enclosed and the file names are labeled as
to which day they apply. Please see explanation below that addresses how
you register. If you have registered for the YRA party circuit, you are
registered for Saturday and have already paid for both days (however, just
to make sure they have you on the list for Sunday's racing, I would
recommend that you fill in the entry form found at the TISC site
http://www.tisailing.org/sailstice07/Regatta.html, but don't send any money.
If you have not signed up for the YRA party circuit, then register with TISC
normally.
If you have done both, you will get a refund from TISC. See further
explanation below.
Sorry for all the confusion... :-(

Mark,
Thanks for the email.
Our events do have some conflicts that we must fix for next year and be
assured, we will. For now, this is the word:
Boats that are registered for the party circuit will sail on the YRA course
on Saturday and are allowed to sail on the TISC course on Sunday, free of
additional charges. Boats who are not signed up for the YRA/Party Circuit
must pay the TISC entry fee and will get all of the normal TISC regatta
packets, party tickets, etc.
Each course does have their own SIs and racers will need to sail by them
accordingly. Scoring will not be combined from the two different courses.
Registered Party Circuit boats will be allowed 2 tickets to the main event
party.
Laura and I will communicate and get the proper registration information to
each other.
It looks like there are 4 boats who have signed up for both events. We will
be sure to refund their money after the event.
Please let me know if you have any more questions. Hopefully I covered
everything.
Thanks Mark.

Hello --- YRA, TISC, John Super, RegattaPro... whoever might be in charge of
this thing. I have heard nothing back from my proposal. Which I should
amend--You need to decide which set of SIs you are going to use and setup
your website to point to the correct set. Then the question of fees needs
to be addressed.
We need answers today... or sooner.
Thanks,
Mark

There are only 4 boats that are on both lists: Xena, Freaks, Magic Bus,
Kolibri.
I think Brendan's original intent when he put this on the schedule was
that we would be a part of the TISC thing and the party, etc. Soo... h ow
about this-- since these 4 boats have already paid YRA, assuming that this
was payment for the Sailstice (but only one days worth, I guess). The TISC
only charges these boats 1/2 price, and the expresses will race both days
with TISC. And YRA reimburses TISC for those 4 boats.
Brendan -- If you are thinking otherwise... please holler.
Paul -- can you get the site pointing to the TISC SIs instead of the
YRA?
In the future, lets not give these two aparently distinct events the
same name... duh....
Thanks,

Ahoy All,
I think we have a problem with nomenclature...ie: we have called all the
races on the weekend "The Sailstice" and now we have people entering one
thinking it is the other. I have no idea how to fix it at this late hour.
May the Lord protect us from what we are about to receive.

Now this really is confusing, as I signed up for the Sailstice only
(not the party circuit) but assumed this included both days. Other folks
have likely signed up for the party circuit but not the Sailstice assuming
that included both days.
Thus, it appears, there are SIs for Sunday and it isn't clear whether
everyone needs to pay twice or not.
Robbie? Carisa? Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hi Mark,
There are 10 Express 27's that signed up for the YRA Party Circuit,
which includes the Saturday racing of the Summer Sailstice, and which
Regatta PRO is running for the YRA. Those are the SI's on the YRA website
and which I believe are also linked on the Express 27 website.
As for Sunday, that is a separate regatta that TI is running. It is
not related to the YRA racing and if you wanted to enter that, there would
be a separate fee through TI.
I hope that clears up any questions, sorry for the confusion. Let me
know if I can answer any other questions for you.

Mark,
It is my understanding that the RegattaPRO SI's only apply to
Saturday. I wasn't even aware of the Sunday part until after the SI's were
written. I'm deferring this over to Laura at the YRA for clarification.
I'm sorry for the confusion.

Hi John --
You can expect north of 10 boats from the Express fleet.
Thanks for your efforts, however, you and RegattaPro are inviting mass

would
appear, though it is far from clear that the the enclosed RegattaPro
SIs
apply to only 6/23.Yours are dated 6/23-24.Do the ones that you just
sent apply to 6/23 as well? Now, I haven't gone over both sets in
detail to
see if they conflict or not. But, if they do, which one governs the
racing on 6/23?In any event, I can just about guarantee it that folks
are
going to be very confused.Which SIs should I distribute the fleet?
Additionally, is the Sailstice entry fee the only fee required, or is
there
a one-race yra fee that is also due (since these SIs, were found on
the YRA
site, that seems likely, either that or registration for the YRA party
circuit).
PLEASE ADVISE ASAP, SO I CAN GET THE CORRECT WORD OUT TO THE FLEET.
Thanks,
