Hey Fleet,
One week to go until Goslings Rum Vanguard 15 Bay Champs at TISC. SIGN UP
on the Vanguard 15 website (http://www.vanguard15.org/schedule/?r=282) so I
can provision appropriately for the Saturday evening post-race BBQ and
cocktail party. That should be incentive by itself to take a minute to sign
up and, optionally post an amusing comment on the regatta page (Madhaven,
I'm looking at you), but here's one more. The good folks at Goslings have
very generously come through with very stylish and functional Goslings hats
(far harder to come by than those other rum hats). The first 15 Vanguards
to sign up on the website will get dibbs on hats for skipper and crew.
Collectors items to be sure. The last few years has seen 18 or 20 boats
signed up so beat the rush.
Details to follow, but there will be an optional racing clinic (dry land) on
Saturday morning starting ~10am and skipper's meeting will be approx 12:00
or 12:30. BBQ and drinks to follow Saturday night.
Also, there has been some last minute interest from Lasers to have a start,
which we can accommodate if we have 5+ boats. If you're a laser and want to
sail, sign up on the site and we'll make a call on whether we have enough
boats later this week
