Two points to add to Nick's great description of the venue:
1. The PCCs perpetual looks good in the TISC dock office... Let's
keep it there!
2. Nationals could be grueling... The Gorge will be good training for
city-front.
NOR is attached and posted at http://www.cgra.org/. Early registration
deadline is next Friday, July 27.

Subject: V15 PCC's at the Gorge - Who's Going?
V15 Fleet,
The V15 Pacific Coast Championship is being sailed in the Gorge near
Portland, OR this year on the August 4-5 weekend. Its an awesome place
to sail and you camp out right next to the water in a beautiful park.
The breeze is reliable and water is warm, fresh, and the current runs
upwind. Lots of other stuff to do as well like windsurfing,
kiteboarding, hiking, and biking.
It's a 12 hour drive up there from SF so we need to start getting the
logistics worked out for those of us who want to attend. Pairing up
works well for the drive - one team drives up and the other back. One
way tickets on Southwest are reasonable. We may be able to get some 3
boat rigs as well if fleet members have a suitable tow vehicle. If you
want to sail the event, please respond to this email and/or sign up on
the event's page on the website: http://vanguard15.org/schedule/362
Please sign up asap because this event also has a 505 fleet and some of
us have to make the call on what we are going to sail. I guarantee you
will love this place if you do go up there for the regatta.
