I posted this info on the Messages link, but thought I put it out to
the fleet this way too:
On Thursday night someone smashed my car's window (not at TI) and
stole my blade bag containing, rudder, tiller & 2 extensions,
daggerabord, 2 sets sheets, jib tensioner, 2 mainsail battens, insp.
port cover... you get the idea. All my gear. Plus a bag containing my
gloves, booties, wetsuit, spraytop, race watches, even my, recently
deceased, dad's sailing hat. Bastards. So if anyone sees a crackhead
at the Civic Center sporting a ratty sailing hat selling V-15 gear
out of a shopping cart be skeptical and beat him with the kevlar
tiller extension.
On a related note- if any one is not sailing or otherwise has gear to
spare for this Thursday... I would be very grateful. Svendsen's says
they'll do the best they can to get me geared up ASAP. Please email
