Hi Fleet,
Just a heads-up that the date of Bay Champs has been moved one week later -
it will now be on Saturday May 15th.
This year we've decided to use an exciting new format - one that puts the
"Bay" back in Bay Champs!
The event will be hosted by Bay View Boat Club (near AT&T park). To
eliminate the need for overnight storage at BVBC, the event will be
completed in a single day.
We'll further simplify logistics by sailing across the bay rather than
trailering. Now here's where it gets exciting - the sail across (and maybe
back) will be counted as races towards the regatta results. Ever wish that
we could have more exciting blast reaching in our V15 racing? This is your
lucky day!
NOR attached. Key points to notice:
* Saturday May 15th
* Start/end the day at TISC
* Register *directly* with Bay View Boat Club (form in the attached NOR) -
do it by May 10th and save $10
* Regatta T-shirts & post race BBQ included in the fee
* Sign up at http://vanguard15.org/schedule/550 (if you already signed up,
please do it again - the change of date zapped the schedule)
Everyone from fleet veterans/alumni to newbies should rally for this one.
One day, great format, host club, and regatta T-shirts. Done.

PS - An important reminder that May 16th is the date for that equally
spectacular race - Bay to Breakers. Those who considered making alternate
weekend plans, be aware that you'll miss the two best races of the summer!
