Happy Monday, Sailors
Lots of great news this week: the wind will be up all week long, and you
have not one but TWO opportunities to volunteer at TISC! (yes!)
The first opportunity is on Thursday night before racing. Show up early (by
5:00 pm) to help put up the tent for opening day. It is easy and fun, but
requires many hands. Please RSVP if you are available to do this! nb:
traffic is way better if you leave earlier
The second opportunity is volunteering for Opening Day on April 26th! This
is a fun filled day that involves getting all types of people out on the
water, many of whom have never been sailing before. There are three
different shifts that you can sign up for:
9-12: Set up and prep for the day of fun
12-3: Assist on land or on the water with fun
3-6: Break down the fun (break it down, now)
TISC still needs help with all three shifts, the more the merrier. So RSVP,
sign up online, lend a hand, and have the fun!
Cheers
Maddy
*And now it's time for logic lessons with Maddy*
Tips on how to become a great sailor:
"Everyone can be great because everyone can serve" -Dr. MLK Jr.
read: everyone can be great at a sport because everyone can serve that sport
volunteering at TISC will serve the sport of sailing by exposing new people
to the sport, hence growing the sport and creating more people that look up
to you as a great sailor
Simple logic: if you serve TISC by volunteering, you will automatically be
a great sailor and tons of people will think you are great
