     Volunteer Opportunities


 J24 Project
***VOLUNTEERS NEEDED URGENTLY***
 *Possible dates: Friday January 10 or Monday January 13, 2014*
 Volunteers needed: 2
  TISC recently received a grant to paint the bottoms on our J24 fleet. Two
were completed in December and two were completed last week. We need two
volunteers to work with out team to bring two more J's to Bay Marine in pt.
Richmond and return the newly painted hulls to TISC. Team Member and Tenant
Dave Guinther will supervise launching, de-masting and transit.


*Requirements*:
 *Volunteer #1*
Meet at TISC at 9:30am to launch two J24's and remove the masts once in the
water using small hoist. Will be finished by 11:00am.

 *Volunteer#2*
Meet at 11:00am to drive the boats to Bay Marine using outboard motors. No
sailing skills needed. Estimated return to TISC by 4:00pm. (Additional
guests welcome to ride along).

*Volunteer Work Day:**Saturday January 11, 2014*

 *10:00 am-2:00 pm, Volunteer BBQ to follow*

*Volunteers Needed: 6-8*
*Focusing on our J24 fleet*: We are de-stepping the masts on two of our
J24's in preparation to take them in for repairs. We also need to re-step
the masts and rig four of our J's. There is also some dock maintenance and
a few yard jobs to work on.

Please dress for the weather and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
