<div>After a great weekend of long beats and big fleets on the city fleet, I want to remind people of the Random Pairs Team Race being held on Saturday, September 8th. It will be a great day of casual, short-course team racing in the cove. See the NOR below and let me know if you have any questions. Remember you don't need a team, just you and your boat. The rotation will assign you a new teammate for every race.

<div>It was recently suggested that having a <span class="st" id="st" name="st">random</span> <span class="st" id="st" name="st">pairs</span> team race at TI would be a great way to get a lot of people team racing in a unique and low-key format (thanks for the great idea Archie).

<div>For those of you who are unfamiliar with the format, <span class="st" id="st" name="st">random</span> <span class="st" id="st" name="st">pairs</span> team racing is 2 vs. 2 team racing in which each boat is paired with a different teammate and opponent for each race. After a number of rotations, boats will be ranked according to winning percentage and top placers will advance to a short Championship Round to determine a victor.

<div>This is a great opportunity for experienced team racers looking to get some boat-handling and boat-on-boat practice, as well as for people who don't have a steady 3-boat team or are somewhat new to team racing altogether. This will be a fun, casual day of racing on the cove with BBQ and beverages to follow.

<div>It is anticipated that a very modest entry fee will be required to offset costs of food/beverage, etc (more details to follow). </div>
