$15 per night. <BR>- <B>checks payable to: <U>TISC</U></B><BR><BR><B>How to
Register:</B> Sign up with the registration papers and the liability waiver
located in the sailing hut. <B>EVERYONE MUST</B> <B>SIGN THE LIABILITY WAIVER
TO SAIL</B>- even if just for the night. <B>Waiver forms must be kept at TISC-
plus put in the folder in the hut</B>. Registration can be completed before or
after sailing. Varsity if you sailed College, won JV before, or just want to.
JV for others. Scores are calculated for total boats. Bonus points for racing,
extra for Super Thursdays. Top 12 scored nights counts, rest are bonus pts.
Scores posted online when I get to it. <BR><B><BR>How to Pay:</B> There will
be a bunch of envelopes in the sailing hut with the forms. <B>Put your Money
& Registration in an Envelope with your name & boat number on the
front.</B> Drop it in the Box. Simple. <BR>- If you do not have money, please
place an IOU in an envelope so that we know- each night if you are paying
nightly. <BR>- Please pay in the first 3 nights! <BR>- Cash works<BR>- Checks
too<BR><BR><B>Nightly Sign Up:</B> <BR>please sign up online for your class
before hand. We will print out the pages and put them in the hut. You must
sign in to get scored. We will NOT run around asking you to sign in- this is
your responsibility. This is mostly to help me with scoring. Lasers- you all
sail with various sail numbers from night to night which proves very difficult
to score you. If possible- help me out if you are around. <BR>Also- please
make sure you are signed up on the roster on the site(s). Helps a bunch.
<BR><BR><B>Social Chairs: </B><BR>We should be able to 3 up this year- meaning
3 people/teams per night.Svendsens will take a few nights and the lasers will
get a few as well. Sessions will email out the sign up sheet. Please man up
for the night- no more running out of beer! Here's a general equation- 3-5
beers per person signed up- at least! Last year we had some slackers. Standard
format has been beer and chips and dip and water/soda. The more exciting
nights involved rum, hamburgers, 7 layer dip, nachos, pizza, chicken, etc. Can
you hear it, there is music. Bring an ipod to plug in. There used to be a crew
that went out afterwards- yes Rolf, mostly to the Mauna Loa. If you are
inclined- let's do it. <BR><BR>Social Chairs are responsible for: Pre-thursday
"this thursday rocks- come out and sail" email to the fleet, food, beer,
back-up safety support, clean up duties/assigning, and reading scores. This is
the minimum- feel free to do more! There is also new duty- <U>Protest
Hearing</U>. If there is a protest, the Social Chairs are the standard, go-to
committee. If you feel you are not qualified or were involved/bias, find a
replacement. (more on protests below).<BR><BR>There is the coveted "best
Social Chair" award. And let's face it- sailing is always second to the rest
of the night!<BR><BR>Sessions will put out the Social Chair Schedule shortly.
<BR><BR><B>TI Stuff:</B><BR>few thing to remember: <BR> - boats back in
their assigned spots (they run classes most summer days and need the
yard)<BR> - NO TRASH - everyone cleans up! Each night. trash gets put out
in the bins near the gate<BR> - the showers work, bring a towel, shower
with your crew- optional...<BR><BR><B>Launching!</B><BR>ok. Here's the deal.
We have more boats this year. When you are on the wood, you are ready to go.
(If you don't know if you are on the wood or not- look down.) Sails up, rudder
in, ready to Launch. <BR>- Boats go down on the Right side<BR>- Dolly's go up
on Left<BR>Help each other out. Launch, hand your dolly to the next team, get
in an go. <BR>Lasers- since you are starting early please get in early.
<BR><BR><B>Pulling out: </B><BR>Boats go up on the right, Dolly's down on the
Left. <BR><BR>Most of all<B>, </B>help each other out! It gets cold when the
sun goes down. If you are out and put away, see if you can help someone out.
Chances are they waited for you. <BR><BR><B>Help RC!</B><BR>RC is awesome but
let's help them out as much as possible. If you are chillin', see if they need
help launching or putting stuff away. If they wave you over on the course, go
help them out. If you have concerns or questions about how things are run- ask
Session or I- but don't yell at the RC. If you think you were over and people
are yelling at you- you probably were so go back.
<BR><BR><B>Safety:</B><BR>Safety First. If a boat is in need of help- closest
to them helps. You get average or fair points. If someone has been stuck in
the mud for a bit- sail by and see if you can help them out. It gets cold. If
they are really cold- get them out of the water and leave the boat. We might
do a nightly "hero" award. (just straight hero, not super hero- sorry no
capes). Also, try to keep or have a bow line on...<BR><BR><B>SI's &
Courses:</B> <BR>Up to John Super and Team. Chances are Modified W's or a
trapezoid course. <BR>SI's will be sent out shortly and posted.
<BR><B><BR></B><B>Protesting:</B><BR>3 min justice. 1 min per side, 1 min to
decide. Again, Social Chairs are the standard committee. If involved, find
someone else who was not involved. After one time of trying to do this- you'll
just do your circles and drink more beer! Dinghy style- 1 circle on the
course, 2 circles if a foul with-in the 2 boat circle. <BR><BR><B>New Boats:
</B><BR>Guys- we are getting a bunch of new fleet members to both fleets!!!
Please introduce yourselves if you don't know someone. We are a growing
fleet!<BR><BR><BR>Phew.. ok we do that hopefully just once a year. Email or
ask Sessions or me for questions. Here's to another great year of dinghy
sailing!!!!<BR><BR><BR>See ya all real soon,<BR><BR><SPAN
