Santana 22 sailors.

We have 3 white sails races as a fleet coming up this spring.

The first is Rites of Spring hosted by Oakland Yacht club on Saturday
March 17th. Last year we had more than 10 boats show up. There is
one race that takes place in the central bay with a start north of
Treasure Island. We will be sailing double handed with the class jib
and main. The entry fee is $30 and needs to be in the mail by March
3rd. I have attached it as a pdf.

We have also tentatively put the Wheeler regatta on our calendar in
response to requests for multiple medium length races on one day.
There will be 2 races in the Olympic Circle on Saturday March 31st.
We need 5 boats to sign up to get a one design start. Last year
registration fees were $35. If you are interested in doing this race
please sign up on the class website via the below link.

Finally, there are plans to have a Scombridae Sunday Spring Tune Up in
mid April at Clipper. The date on the calendar is April 22nd. Please
let me know if that will work for you and if not if the 15th or 29th
would. John Super of the Bay View Boat Club will probably run race
committee for us this time. He also runs the weekly Vanguard 15
series out of Clipper Cove and I know from experience that he does a
great job. Sign up for the series at the below link:

As you may have noticed we have a new website. We are working on
getting the santana22.com url to point to it, and are just redirecting
to the new site for now. Hopefully that will be resolved soon.
Please take a look around @ http://tuna.tolachi.com/ and take a moment
to sign up on the roster and pay your class dues. It is still being
worked on and any comments are appreciated.

I should also introduce myself and Jodi Yukich as the new fleet Captains.

Best,

Pete Trachy
