Fleet 1 (and the rest of the online world.): I still haven't got the summary
of our decisions from the February party/meeting together, but here are the
next three things on the calendar.
Mar 22 (Sat) Rites of Spring, organized by Oakland YC
Single or double-handed, and they also have a "full crew women's only"
division. Our fleet does white sails only, it's a lot of fun and you always
get a subdued pastel t-shirt or formal hat (that's a joke, folks.) Contact
OYC pronto if you haven't already.
April 9th (Wed) Kame Richard's famous Vallejo Tides Talk, at Berkeley YC.
We decided to do Vallejo white sails only to up the participation rate, that
means tides will be even more important than usual. If at least 10 folks
say they will attend the talk (and do the race), the fleet will chip in for
pizza that night. Email me your responses, I'd like to get double digits
for this race this year.
April 12/13 (Sat/Sun) Fleet cruise-in and race clinic at Encinal YC. We
have confirmation from the harbourmaster that we can stay overnight, Michael
Andres is still working on the short races part. We'll hold a few short
races on Saturday to get the kinks out and have fun swapping crew around,
mentoring each other; go for a wonderful dinner at the club, and then some
of us will stay over at the club in our boats. Should be great fun, and
warmer than the traditional Vallejo bbq.

Race Tides Talk at the Berkeley Yacht Club on Wednesday, April 9th at 7pm.

Kame Richards, owner of Pineapple Sails, will share his exceptional
presentation and slide show on the tides and currents of the San Francisco
Bay. Kame will demonstrate how racers in the Vallejo's Yacht Club's YRA
Vallejo Race on May 3rd and 4th can apply tide and current knowledge to gain
a competitive edge.
