I use a Mercury 3.5 horse power, long shaft, four stroke engine. Nissan may have the same motor in their livery as the companies seem to offer some of the same motors, literally. It lacks the ability to be linked to an external tank but its weight is good for the reasonable amount of power it delivers.

Thanks for the tow the other week. I'm thinking it might be time to retire
the 30yr old 2-stroke and plump for a nice modern outboard. You looked to be
using a fairly low-hp motor on yours.... 4hp, or was it less?
Any recommendations on buying outboards that would work well for a Tuna?
