Fellow Tuna Sailors,
Due to the San Francisco Marina renovation project I have lost my slip
in Gas House Cove and rather than relocate Maguro I am putting her up
for sale. I wanted to post my intentions to the fleet ahead of a
Craigslist post to see if there was any interest amongst the fleet
before I open up to a wider audience. I plan to take photos later today
so I should be able to provide additional details later tonight.
Maguro is hull #158 and in good-fair condition. She needs a haul-out.
Last haul and bottom paint was just over three years ago and she hasn't
seen a diver in the last few months either. The topsides could use a
paint job or buff-out as well. She has an older 'cruising' main and two
jibs (90% and a 130% I think) along with a nice racing main & jib that
saw one or two seasons of YRA races. She also has an older Mercury 5HP
outboard that has served us well.
The boat was pretty well gutted out for racing by the last owner and I
have been slow to replace the electrical system and other items. I
added an electrical panel, battery, charger and stereo along with
replacing some of the storage cabinets that were removed. No wiring has
been run to the components I listed.
I'd like to get $1000 for her. As with every boat owner, I am selling
for more than I have invested in her :-)
