This past weekend´s "Great Vallejo Race" was a surprise winner. It was a surprise because for the first time in memory boats beat all the way to the Vallejo Yacht Club and ran all the way back to Sunday´s Finish Line North of the Richmond Bridge. It was a winner because nearly 300 boats signed up and most sailed the race. The crowd at the VYC´s dinner and dance was sizable and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The results were posted early at the VYC for Saturday´s race and both Saturday and Sunday were on the YRA Website by Sunday night.
