<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; ">Pete and Fleet #1 Members,<DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Here's my suggestion for the Fleet #1 2008 Racing Season Schedule. I'm including the complete schedule for reference.<BR></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Both HDA and ODCA will share the Start/Finish Line on the 6 ODCA/HDA Championship Race Days next Summer. HDA (3 fleets) will Start 30 minutes before the ODCA Fleets. Example: 1130 HDA Fleets 1,2,3. 1200 ODCA Fleets A,B,C,D,E,etc. </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>The HDA Fleets will sail a long course (14 - 17 miles). The first ODCA race will be shorter, so the ODCA Fleets can Finish and get Started on Race #2 before the HDA boats come back.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>This means the possibility of using HDA races for Fleet #1's Spinnaker Series is limited.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><SPAN class="Apple-style-span"><B>ODCA Championship Series (white sails).</B> All ODCA Race Days have 2 races with around buoys courses scheduled. Most will be Windward/Leeward courses - with as many as possible using temporary drop marks. YRA is attempting to set up temporary courses with a separate Start/Finish Line so fleets sailing a 2nd race can get Started more quickly. This usually isn't a problem for the Tunas since we Start last and are the slowest fleet. </SPAN></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>The Start Line may be on one side of a Committee Boat and the Finish Line on the other, or the Start and Finish Lines may be slightly Leeward of the Leeward Mark. There may be downwind Finishes in some races this Summer.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>I know the final two 2-race days are on the Knox Courses, but the alternative was a S.
