Hey everyone,

The East Coast Championship is about to begin in beautiful Shelburne. The gang from Ontario (Henry + Jelena, Heather + Dave, Ralph + CathyAnn, Robert + Joanne (the Bartskis), Warner + Sonja, Matt + Deanna, Rory Martin, Frank Maloney + Liane, Peter Norwood + Rae Ann, Jason + I, Pasquale and our token American... Barney. The hospitality is fantastic and the location ideal. I have been sleeping abroad the Commodore's (Ken and Sherry Taylor's) boat, "Brown Eyed Girl", while some of the other teams are being billeted by Guy Tipton, Wayne King and Mark and Rhonda Hanebury.

We had our first race run by the race committee which sits on the deck at the clubhouse. It was an interesting start (on a reach) with an interesting course (a few marks to starboard and a few to port) the race keeps going until the race committee decides to end it and then they blow horn. Very interesting!

We are waiting for the sea breeze to fill in; its sunny and hot and it just doesn't get any better!

More later,
T
