To Albacore Sailors Everywhere!

The Albacore North American Championships are being held at RCYC on June 13 and 14th. Racing will be south of Toronto Island on beautiful Lake Ontario.

Boats can be launched from our city station location at 263 Queens Quay East and sailed over to our Island Location. You may leave your trailer in the parking lot for the weekend. There is a charge for parking your car in the City Station Parking lot of approximately $10 per day.

If you are sailing over from the Outer Harbour and are going to stay on the island for the weekend - fantastic - see camping/B&B's below.

FLEETS

There will be an "A" and "B" Fleet with prizes going to the top 5 skippers and crew in the "A" fleet and prizes for the top 3 skippers and crew in the "B" fleet.

If there are 10 or more boats registered for the "B" fleet there will be a separate start.

CAMPING - RESERVATIONS REQUIRED

An added bonus - RCYC has invited all participants to camp on Snug Island for the weekend. There will be hot showers and washrooms available and food service by cash or credit card for breakfast and lunch items. Enjoy a hot breakfast on the sunny verandah before heading off to race!

In order to facilitate camping and sailing directly from the island, arrangements have been made to pick up dollies, tents and luggage from the outer harbour on Friday night at 7 pm and take everything to the RCYC dinghy docks so it will be there when you come in from racing. All of the items will be returned on Sunday after the awards, which will be presented on the island after racing.

If you are planning on camping, please email Heather Macnaughton hmacnaughton at sympatico.ca as they would like to know how many tents to expect and how much luggage to transport to the island.
