I am starting a sailing team at our public middle school (maybe 12 Optis) up here in Sonoma County and am seeking financial and logistic support. (The team will develop into a high-school team in a couple of years.) If anyone knows of an individual or corporation who might be interested in making a start-up phase, tax-deductible and environmentally-positive donation, or otherwise help make this happen, please pass his/her/its information on to me. Even thin leads would be appreciated. I'll follow up on anything.
The Salmon Creek middle school is located just south of Occidental and has a very strong environmental focus. The first all-green California public school building is currently under construction on the school's 60-acre campus. A sailing program will harmonize well with the environmental focus of the school and will be welcomed by the community.

Contributions will pass through the school's independent foundation--the nautically-named "Harmony Ark"--which currently supports the school's arts, garden and music programs.
