Dear Fleet,
The breeze is in the air and the afternoon fog has started to roll in. It's sailing season!!
Fleet Registration
Please do drop by and register for the Thursday night season tonight at TISC. You will not be allowed on the water next week unless you have paid and submitted your release forms. Release forms must be submitted by anyone who is racing, i.e. skippers and crews. Thursday nights are $135. Fleet dues are $25. If you absolutely cannot make it, please pdf me or Amy your release form prior to your first Thursday night entry and I will submit it to TISC. Registration and fleet dues can also be submitted to Alex Symes.
We will also be assigning social chair duties this year in an effort to cut down on the begging of people to be social chairs. Tonight is the night to select your date. Otherwise it will be assigned to you and you will be responsible for social chairing the assigned date or finding a replacement. You can request your social chair date by emailing us. Tim Murphy has already graciously offered to host April 1. Who's in to help him?
Amy, Alex and I all love to race so help us out and don't make us miss the first racing night of the season collecting forms and money.
Regatta Planning
Also, please check out the regattas posted on the website at www.vanguard15.org. Be sure to sign up soon. We've booked campsites at Huntington and made Tomales Bay (with its epic cult following) the Fleet Championship Regatta. There's also a lot of action in the West Coast team racing scene. Save the dates!
