If anyone's up for Winter racing, the Richmond YC midwinters are a great
way to get out. Dates are Sundays, December 7, January 4, February 1 and
March 1.
Entry Fee: $45.00 Single Handed, $60.00 Double Handed, RYC Juniors $1.00
Course Areas: Inside Breakwater: El Toro Jr. and El Toro Sr.
Breakwater Entrance (Potrero Course): 420s, Snipes, Day Sailers, Bytes,
Youth and Novice Lasers, FJs, Coronado 15, Sunfish, Megabytes, Banshees,
Vanguard 15, Small Centerboard Open Class
Southampton: International 14, 505, 29er, 49er, Contender, International
Canoe,Laser, Laser Radial, Lightning,FD, J18, Thistles, Wabbit, Open
5.70,U20, Large Centerboard Open Class
Check In: 9:00AM -11AM for all classes
Skippers Meeting: Time and location of the Skippers Meetings for each
course area will be posted at check in.
First Race: Sunday: First warning at 11:00AM Inside Breakwater and Potrero
Reach (Breakwater Entrance)
Courses; 12:00 NOON Southampton Course
Information and Registration: On line only at www.richmondyc.org
Lunches: Bag lunch (sandwich, fruit, cookie and drink) available at cost of
$7.50. Lunches must be pre ordered and paid for at the time of registration.
Sail Numbers: All competitors must sail boat with same sail number
throughout series. Sail number must accompany registration. Competitor is
responsible for verifying sail number at check in for each race. Sail
numbers not in registration data base will not be scored.
Wet Suits or dry suits mandatory for competitors 17 years and younger on
Southampton Course only.
Classes: Classes with 5 or more boats registered prior to 3:00 pm on
Saturday, December 6, 2014 will be sailed and scored as One Design. All
other boats will be sailed as Open Class. Classes with 3 or 4 boats
registered prior to 3pm on Saturday, December 6 2014 will sail in their
respective Open Class, but will be scored separately. Two or more classes
may be started together at the discretion of the race committee.
Handicaps: Southampton Open Class boats will be scored using the TOT ( time
on time) scoring system and the Portsmouth Yardstick number listed by US
Sailing in the “Table of North American Portsmouth Numbers” at :

Awards: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd for fleets with 7 boats
1st & 2nd for fleets with 5 boats
1st for fleets with 3 boats
