The online medical form on the TISC registration site
<https://tisailing.org/app/enrollments/course/40> seems to be working
better now. If you still have any trouble, though, you can also download
the form here <https://goo.gl/qcVO52> (https://goo.gl/qcVO52) and email it
to programs at tisailing.org, or just complete a hard copy at Treasure Island
tomorrow.

Sign up if you're racing <http://vanguard15.org/schedule/927>, and see you
tomorrow!

To: "sfv15 at myfleet.org" <sfv15 at myfleet.org>

Just a reminder that *Thursday night racing starts this week!* Please sign
up here <http://vanguard15.org/schedule/927>. Lyzz will be bringing food
and beer this week. (Thanks!)

Also, please remember to complete *registration* and *medical forms* for
TISC before racing. Registration is available online here
<https://tisailing.org/app/enrollments/course/40>. You can also register
for a single race at the venue. There seems to be a glitch in the online
medical form - I've reached out to Travis about that and also about the
best way for the second crew member to submit a medical form, and I'll send
an update as soon as I hear back. For this week, it might just be a matter
of filling out hard copies at TISC.

Registration fees are waived for charter boats (as long as you pay the
charter fee) but you will still need to fill out medical forms.

*Hope to see you all on Thursday!*

Subject: V15 Thursday Series - FIRST RACE APRIL 28th
To: "sfv15 at myfleet.org" <sfv15 at myfleet.org>

The days are getting longer, the dock is in the water, and it's almost time
to start racing on Thursdays again! I'm excited to serve as fleet captain
this year along with a great group of officers. Our main goal for the
season is to get as many people on the water as we can.

Three important dates to start off (many more dates below):

   1. *April 21st* will be the *first day out
<http://vanguard15.org/schedule/926>*, for tune up and practice.
   2. *April 28th* is the *first race <http://vanguard15.org/schedule/927>*,
   and it counts double.
   3. *July 9th and 10th* is the *High Sierra Regatta
<http://vanguard15.org/schedule/938>*, which is happening again after a
   two-year drought hiatus.

Quick announcements:

1.* If your boat is not currently in the TISC lot, and you're looking to
bring it back, talk to Travis IMMEDIATELY. Space is very limited. *If you
can't get a space, please let me know - I can't promise a solution but if
this is a problem for fleet members we will look into it.

2. *Tag your sails and blades!* TISC is moving us to a different shed
(larger and drier but further west in the yard) and they need to know what
equipment actually belongs to people who still have boats in the yard.
Tags are available in the shed. Please tag your stuff by the end of May or
ask a friend to do it for you.

We're trying a few new things this year to get more people on the water:

1. We are breaking up the season into *three six-week series (Spring,
Summer, Fall).* This way even if you can’t sail the full season, you can
still win one or two of the series. (We'll keep track of overall season
standings too.)

2. The Thursday before the start of each series will be a *tune-up day *to
get new people on the water, switch up pairs so more experienced sailors
can bring newer racers up to speed, and get crews more helm time. These
practice days won't count for the standings.

3. *Super Thursdays* are happening once a month. As in years past, these
nights *count* *double* for the standings, and include *prizes from
Svendsen's* for the top boats. Also, new this year, you get *five bonus
points* added to your overall series score for each person you bring out on
Super Thursday who is new to the fleet. ("New" means hasn't sailed
Thursdays in the last two years.)

Here's the schedule for the full season:

*Spring Series:*

*April 21: Tune Up Day*
*April 28:*
*Race 1 (April Super Thursday)**April 30: TISC Opening Day on
Saturday* *(volunteer
hours opportunity)*
*May 5: Race 2 (May Super Thursday)*
May 12: Race 3
May 19: Race 4
May 26: Race 5
*June 2: Race 6 (June Super Thursday)*

*Summer Series:*

*June 9: Tune Up Day*
June 16: Race 1
June 23: Race 2
June 30: Race 3
*July 7: No Racing - week of Independence Day and prep for High Sierra*

*July 9-10: High Sierra Regatta*
*(not a series event but you should go!)**July 14: Race 4 (July Super
Thursday)*
July 21: Race 5
July 28: Race 6

*Fall Series:*

*August 4: Tune Up Day*
*August 11: Race 1 (August Super Thursday)*
August 18: Race 2
August 25: Race 3
*September 1: Race 4 (September Super Thursday)*
September 8: Race 5
September 15: Race 6

*Date TBD*: Fleet Championships at Inverness Yacht Club, Tomales Bay

Let's try to get a strong turnout on the 21st, and especially the 28th, and
start this season off right! Can't wait to see you all out there.
