Jim:
Welcome to the fleet.  We did a bunch of re-rigging when we got our boat a couple of years ago, and started by going around and peeking at a bunch of boats.  There are quite a few in Richmnd, at RYC and Brickyard Cove.  My boat's at Brickyard, and you're more than welcome to have a look whenever you'd like.  If you want, feel free to check and see if I'm around some weekend and I'd be happy to show you what we did to the boat, or you can poke around any time you'd like to just look and see.  When we first got the boat, we spent a very fruitful Saturday having a look at the race-rigged Tunas at RYC, as well as a few others (Michael Andrews was very accommodating in answering questions about the Bonito, and if I recall correctly there were a couple of nice ones at SFYC as well).
Look forward to seeing you out there

Hello:

We just recently purchased a Santana 22.   I’m receiving the fleet’s emails but we would certainly like to race our boat with the one design fleet.  How do we get a certificate and is there someone who can assist us in rigging this boat?  It used to race actively but the specification of the boats leads and blocks is beyond what I’m familiar with.   We’re also curious if the dates have been established as of yet when the fleet will be racing.  One last question; Does the fleet race with spinnakers or as a non-spinnaker group?   The boat we have is located at the SFYC.

Thank you in advance for any guidance you may have to offer.

Regards,
Jim

A Fleet meeting, though seemingly a good idea to me, seems a fleeting one.

Let's try to do this via e-mail.

I suggest two half seasons, same as last year.  I suggest we race to Vallejo using just plain sails to get out more boats.

Let me know how you feel, particularly if you are strongly apposed to either of these suggestions.

Thank you,

Jan,

Thanks for the recap.  Sounds fun.

Has the fleet decided on a schedule for this year and what format will be used (IE 2-half seasons, etc)?  Is the fleet doing Vallejo?  Or are we going to have a fleet meeting soon?

Sorry for all of the questions.  Just hoping to get the ball rolling.
