Subject: [Santana 22] Gathering of the Tunas! Well, at least their owners and sails in need of measuring.
Tuna owners and interested crew, Sally and Kame Richards have again very generously agreed to host a gathering of our school; please join me at Pineapple Sails in Alameda on Friday, March 20 at 17:30.
I propose that we discuss our 2009 schedule, including what races we should do as a Fleet, what sails we should use during those races and how we should count them to determine a Champion or Champions during this gathering. This will also be a good opportunity for any sails you own, requiring measuring, to be and get stamped.
I also intend to poll those in attendance concerning measurement certificates. I suspect that, as boats have changed owners over time, some of you may not be in possession of them. I aim to rectify this before our season begins in earnest, during May.
Pizza from Bowzer's in Alameda will be provided, courtesy of the Fleet. Please bring beverages of you choosing. Please also be prepared to pay your $25 Fleet One dues for 2009.
Hope to see you there; please do let me know your coming so that I can get an idea of whether the majority of owners are going to make it.
