Hello, all.
IYC's Women's Sailing Seminar is again hoping to hold the Sunday races
in a fleet of Santana 22's. The date is October 10.
Each boat will have an instructor and a few attendees. And an owner
(or owner's rep if you can't make it but your boat can). Lunch is
provided.
I believe the Santana owners who brought their boats last year had a
wonderful time. I know those who get the opportunity to race, many
for the first time in their lives, enjoy the experience and are
grateful to the owners of the boats.
So let me know if you are willing to bring a boat. I do not have
times as yet, but typically the start is not very early and there is a
skippers meeting (covering more basics than in a usual skippers
meeting) before the racing starts. This will probably be non-
spinnaker, since folks are usually new to sailing. And winning is not
as important as learning. But learning is seriously enhanced in a one-
design situation, as you all know.
I hope you can help.
