Fleet - I don't think this email went to the whole list. Can anyone help Ted find his sails? See below:

Subject: Lost Sail #8 at V15 Nationals
Hi All,
Apologize in advance for the mass email.
I am trying to find Patrick Layton (sail #1639). I think that he may have confused my sail (sail #8) bag with his subsequent to the conclusion of V-15 nationals this past weekend. If you have any contact information for Patrick or happen to know if he borrowed a boat from someone this weekend I would so much appreciate any information that you may be able to pass along.
Cheers,
Ted

I agree; a one-day weekend random pairs might attract some good fleet racers that aren't into / can't make Tuesdays...
How about:
1) Do a bigger one on a weekend in October when logistics will be easier?

It might be nice to try it sometime when we could get more than 8 boats. We'd need to work out some logistics - namely a motorboat.

I think Random pairs is a great idea, but just to clarify this is a 2on2
event right? I think it could work on a Tuesday if we have 8 or less
boats, but probably better to do it in August rather than September
since days get short in Sept.

For September at TISC, Tuesday night would be easier since we have motor
boats available and regularly scheduled RC.
I have also been looking for a weekend in September to do Fleet Champs
(which is traditionally a weekend of V15 fleet racing in the Cove), but
TISC motor boats are booked every weekend.
With that, we'll need to come up with our own motor boat for September
weekend events at TISC (anybody have one?), do the events somewhere else
(Stanford Random Pairs on September 8 or 9?), or wait until October...
Kevin

Might need an entire weekend day, guess it depends on how many boats are

I'm also in for either a weekend afternoon or Tuesday nights.

Would we want to try and squeeze that entire event into a Tuesday
evening, or would it be better to try and find a weekend day to do it?

Archie,
Awesome idea! We do an event like that in Rhode Island , where I'm from,
and it's really fun.
Let me know if you want help with the logistics.

Who would be up for a Random pairs team-racing event on the last
Tuesday evening of the series?
For those that don't know: Random pairs is a 2-boat team-racing event
format is that each race you are teamed up with a different partner
against different opposition. The winner is the individual boat with
the most wins.
I would produce a schedule and then we'd just bang out as many races
as we can.
