Hi everybody,
This is from RYC who will be hosting our Nationals. Gail says there will be about 10 Olson 25s (which are faster than us and use spinnakers), they could give them longer legs (ie. a windward mark further up than ours) to keep the fleets more in synch. I would only agree if they/we can figure out a way to keep the fleets separate on the courses. (First suggestion would be Olsons start 5 minutes ahead, since they are faster.)
It would make for a bigger event/party (our meeting would be just us, of course), and would reduce the cost.
Thoughts from our fleet, and if anyone in Monterey South is on this, from there too?
Doug McVae the presumed PRO would like to get together with me, Pete and Jodi (or whoever can make it) and the Olson reps to discuss if it seems like a possibility from the feedback we get.

Just a note about our phone conversation.
Possibility of Olson 25 Nationals (10 boats) at your Santana 22 Nationals Aug. 10,11,12. Doug McVae has shown an interest in being PRO for this event. Does that work for you?
At some point we need to get together and work out a NOR.
THanks for considering this. I have cced Frank Van Kirk who is the Olson guy.
Gail
